COMPOSITION

    -  Acetazolamide..........................................................250mg.

    -  Excipients..........................................................sqf 1 tablet.

 

INDICATIONS

    -  Treatment of glaucoma.

    -  Adjunct treatment of mild epilepsy.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

    -  Adults: 1 - 2 tablets daily.

    -  Children over 5 years: 5 - 10 mg/ kg daily.

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS

    -  Hypersensitivity to sulfonamides.

    -  Severe hepatic or renal impairment, Addison’s disease.

    -  Hyperchloraemic acidosis.

    -  Hyponatremia and Hypokalemia.

    -  Long-term use in noncongestive angle closure glaucoma.

    -  Acetazolamide should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

 

PRECAUTIONS

    -  Keep out of children’s reach.
