COMPOSITION
- Zinc gluconate....................................................70 mg (equivalent to zinc 10 mg).

INDICATIONS
Dietary supplement of zinc in cases of
- Rickets, low birth weight.
- Pregnancy, lactation and convalescence.
- Unbalanced or restricted diets.
- Prolonged parenteral feeding.
- Acute or chronic diarrhoea.
Treatment of zinc deficiency
- Mild and moderate zinc deficiency.
+ Mild or moderate malnutrition.
+ Digestive disorders: anorexia, dyspepsia, mild constipation, nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
+ Insomnia, crying at night, asthenia, headache.
+ Recurrent infections in respiratory tract, digestive tract and of skin.
+ Xeroderma, delayed healing of wounds (burns and decubitus ulcers ).
+ Xeropthalmia, corneal ulcer, nyctalopia.
- Severe zinc deficiency is characterized by a typical skin rash in acrodermatitis enteropathica, keratodermia, alopecia, nail dystrophy, xeropthalmia, diarrhoea, peripheral inflammation of anus and vulva.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
- Supplementary dosage as nutritional supplement 1/2-2 tablets daily as needed.
- Treatmnet dosage: as directed by physician.
+ Dosage should be reduced when the clinical symptoms have been improved .
+ Daily dosage should be divided into 2 doses, to be taken after meals.
+ For children: crush the tablets, add some sugar then dissolve in warm water before use.
