COMPOSITION

    -  Povidone iodine...............................................................5g.

    -  Excipients............................................................sqf 100ml.

INDICATIONS

    Antisepsis of newborn’s umbilical stump.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION  

    -  Place your newborn with his/ her back on a firm surface such as the bed.

    -  Undress your baby, exposing the cord area.

    -  Dip the sterile cotton wool or sterile  cotton swab into the Povidine 5% and gently rub on all parts of the cord. This may take several sterile cotton wools or sterile cotton swabs to

complete.

    -  Apply to injured area 2 - 3 times daily.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

    -  Hypersensitivity to iodine.

PRECAUTIONS

       Do not apply to large areas and avoid prolonged use.
