COMPOSITION

    -  Sucralfate...............................................................................500mg.

    -  Excipients........................................................sqf 1 chewable tablet.

INDICATIONS

    -  Gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis.

    -  Prophylaxis of stress ulceration or the recurrence  of duodenal ulcers.

    -  Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

    The drug should be taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before meals).

    -  Gastric ulcers: 2 chewable tablets, 4 times daily  for 6-8 weeks.

    -  Duodenal ulcers: 4 chewable tablets, 2 times daily, in the morning and before bedtime for 4-8 weeks.

    -  Prophylaxis of the recurrence of duodenal ulcers: 2 chewable tablets,

2 times daily. Treatment not exceeding 6 months.

    -  Prophylaxis of stress ulceration: 2 chewable tablets, 6 times daily, the dose of 8g daily should not be exceeded.

    -  Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease: 2 chewable tablets,4 times daily,

 1 hour before meals and at bedtime.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

       Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug.

PRECAUTIONS

    -  Use with caution in patients with renal  insufficiency.

    -  Pregnancy and lactation.
